Methodology and sources

1. Official questions only

Every TVDE question is reproduced unchanged from IMT's public document “Perguntas da avaliação final TVDE” (February 2026). Each question keeps its IMT id, page and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the source file. We do not write our own questions. A question that no longer matches the law is withdrawn, never rewritten.

2. Where the answers come from

IMT publishes the questions but not the correct answers. Each question therefore states where its answer comes from:

• Official answer key: when the authority states the answer (not yet available for TVDE).
• Training answer key: the answer from a training provider's test battery, confirmed by an independent check against the law. If the check disagrees, the question is removed from mock exams until a qualified instructor reviews it.
• Law-based answer: when there is no key, the answer is determined from the cited article of law by two independent analyses and is only published after review by a qualified instructor.

Independent check status for TVDE: 297 published with a confirmed answer; 8 settled by a third analysis that found the applicable legal text (quoted on the question); 6 kept off the site until an instructor reviews them (the check disagreed with the key); 0 pending. 5 official questions were withdrawn because Law 59/2026 (in force since 1 September 2026) changed the rule they test. Reviewed by an instructor: 0.

2-A. Agricultural tractors

Questions come from IMT's public documents “Questões de exame — Tratores” (groups 1 and 2), also without an answer key. Each answer was determined from the law by two independent analyses, made without seeing each other's answer, which had to agree with medium or high confidence and no warnings. Review by a qualified instructor is pending and is shown on each question. Current bank: 170 published questions; 7 kept off the site due to doubt.

3. Exam rules

Mock exams with the official rules have 30 questions, 60 minutes and a pass mark of 27 correct answers, under Lei n.º 45/2018, art. 10.º, n.º 8 (red. da Lei n.º 59/2026) e Portaria n.º 344/2024/1 (30 perguntas e 27 certas: Lei, art. 10.º, n.º 8; 60 minutos: Portaria, art. 3.º, n.º 7). Agricultural tractor theory test (categories II and III): 20 questions, 25 minutes, pass with 17 correct, under DGADR Specific Regulation no. 19; category B holders are exempt. Other modes (quick, topic, marathon) are practice modes with the same pass ratio.

4. Artificial intelligence

AI is used to explain mistakes and for study translations, always labelled as such. AI never decides or changes the correct answer of a published question.

5. Errors and independence

TestDriver.pro is independent and has no link to IMT. If you find a mistake in a question, an answer or a rule, use the “Report a mistake” button shown on every question (see the privacy policy). Reports are reviewed within 7 days. If in doubt, the legal text and IMT information prevail.
